O’s Notes: The album started with a symphonic “Prelude” that left us wondering about the ensuing music but we were relieved and pleased to hear track two, “Evolution”, a well developed composition with brass and strings. Matt Clohesy’s bass was prominent and a solid anchor for most of the selections. Gordon wrote all of the songs making good use of a large ensemble to create symphonic sound. Alan Ferber (tb) was a key contributor to the idea and arrangements. Our favorites were “Individuation” and “Currents” with vocal shadowing by Kristin Berardi.
