O’s Notes: Dave is the arranger, composer and conductor of this 13-piece ensemble. It is heavily brass laden well integrated with pianist Red Wierenga. The harmonies are rich as Rivello unleashes the power of his jazz machine. There are eight selections that speak of modern jazz. They swing on the up-tempo tunes like “Stealing Space” and mesmerize us with ballads like “Sometime”.
