O’s Notes: Philippe Lemm was first a dancer and now a drummer, but he remains steeped in coordinated movement. He leads a trio with Angelou Di Loreto (p) and Jeff Koch (b). There’s a nice solo from Koch along with choral harmonies on “Elysian Voices”. The bassist is back again on “Don’t Give Up”, a racy, mixed tempo tune. Di Loreto and Lemm share the spotlight on “Trenke Todorke”. Best bets: the suspense of “Malabo” and the pairing of piano with vibes featuring guest artist Simon Moullier on “The Kiln”.
