O’s Notes: These guys swing with a real sense of cool especially on tracks like “Secret Code” and “Seventh Day Rain”. Chad leads the charge playing melodies on his baritone sax with the intensity and execution of peers on alto and tenor. Brad Turner (t), Jesse Cahill (d) and Paul Rushika (b) are right there with him. This session was recorded live at Vancouver’s Cellar Jazz Club and Restaurant. It’s one of the places on our list to visit! And we’d love to catch Chad and company.
