O’s Notes: Leader Dave Storrs and his band like to keep the listener entertained with spontaneity. Their music is like an impromptu speech; they make it up as they go. It is free fusion jazz. This leads to lots of unplanned adventure as the musicians build off of each other’s creativity. The instrumentation is also unusual with both acoustic and electric bassists and two drummers. The results are cool, sometimes playful and always provocative.
