O’s Notes: Weiss (p) assembles a core rhythm section with Jason Brown (d) and Corcoran Holt (b). They add different vocalists and brass to create different landscapes on Get Happy. The theme is centered on a search for happiness and each of the ten tunes have an air of peacefulness that takes the listener in that direction. Ezra wrote many of the selections and added songs that melded with this theme. The collection is suitable for reflection and meditation.
