O’s Notes: Bob’s large ensembles always have rich, warm and full sound. Get Well Soon is no exception. The New Art Orchestra has lots of brass and a well-integrated rhythm section. The program consists of ten songs with healing power. We especially liked “For You” and “Over Here” both featuring guest trumpet player Till Brönner. This is someone to watch out for. His combines a sweet mellow sound with a strong sense of pace – seductive! Till stands out but does not overshadow an excellent band. The SACD layer is worth the effort accentuating the beauty of the brass and embellishing the dynamics.
