O’s Notes: David Singley is a polished guitarist and educator at McNally-Smith College of Music with degrees from both Berklee and Indiana University. He puts together a great performance of relaxing contemporary jazz on“Good Hope. Support comes from many musicians including Pete Whitman and David Milne on sax, Lee Blaske (B3) and drummer/composer Craig Hara. The groove is a cool jazz-fusion that flows on “Inside The Mobius” and “St. Albany’s St.” as well as on ballads like the title track. We also liked the blues swagger on “First Principal “ and the swing of “Take It Out”. There’s a lot to enjoy!
