O’s Notes: This is a trombone bonanza, enough to give you a Bonegasm! Bass trombonist, vocalist Jennifer Wharton leads the way accompanied by fellow trombonists John Fedchock, Nate Mayland and Alan Ferber. They explode on top of a rock-solid rhythm section including Michael Eckroth (p), Evan Gregor (b), Samuel Torres (perc), and Don Peretz (d). We were never overwhelmed by the bones and warmed by their passionate spirit. We enjoyed the lazy mood of “La Bruja”, the vocals on “Coop’s Condiments”, and the harmonies on “Be Normal” & “Norhala”, and “Mana’s Alright”.
