O’s Notes: Jon Sheckler is a rising drummer and composer from the Crescent City. He leads a quartet with Jim Greene (b) and guitarists Mike Clement (right channel) & Christos Mellos (left channel). They are cooking right out of the gate on “50 Ring Gauge” followed by the mellow “Eephus”, then groovin’ on “Cloud Touches”, sizzling on “Supergoop”, and then relaxing for “Days in the Sun”. Sheckler extracts the most from his band on Highway 27.
