O’s Notes: Ted Kooshian plays piano, arranges and composes most of the music on Hubub! John Bailey (t), Jeff Lederer (t-sax), Dick Sarpola (b) and Greg Joseph (d) round out the quintet. They swing on the opening title track as well as on “Schiermonnikoog”. We dug the retro-fusion of “McQueen”, the soulful ballad “Wandelen”, sweet brass harmonies on “Somewhere”, and “Hymn For Her” featuring vocalist Jim Mola, Katie Jacoby (violin) and Summer Boggess (cello).
