O’s Notes: Shirazette Tinnin is one of the funkiest drummers on the jazz scene today. She assembles a fine band that includes Camille Thurman (sax), Tia Fuller (sax) and Mimi Jones (b). The pace is a varied across nine tracks written mostly by pianists Willerm Delisfort and Rachel Eckroth along with a few covers. The constant is the cool syncopated beats that permeate the entire session.
