O’s Notes: Tom is a romantic balladeer who sings with passion and warmth. I Remember You features the music of Johnny Mercer with a vast array of co-writers including Henry Mancini, Harold Arlen, Jerome Kern and Lionel Hampton. He uses a large ensemble to illustrate the moods of each of the tunes. “Out of This World” has an ethereal feel that is perfect for the arrangement. There are many upbeat tunes like “Day In – Day Out” as well as a plethora of romantic blues. There are eighteen in all and surely a few of your favorite classics: “Midnight Sun”, “Skylark” and “I Remember You” are a few.
