O’s Notes: Guitarist Michael Bloomfield celebrated blues on this CD, all kinds of blues. The range is honky tonk to Memphis soul and Mississippi blues. If you like blues, you will surely find some here to fill your craving. There are two albums on this CD the first, If You Love These Blues, Play ’em As You Please was originally released in 1976. The second, Bloomfield/Harris was mostly softer, country, gospel blues released in 1979. The first has more of the legendary spirit of Bloomfield, emulating the blues masters. Consider the rest as bonus tracks.
