O’s Notes: Jazz recording label Posi-Tone celebrates its 30th Anniversary with In Jazz We Trust, featuring seven of their artists playing ten songs. They start with a rousing performance by tenor saxophonist Diego Rivera on “Invocation” followed by “Free Time” with rich trombone work by Michael Dease, and they never let up! Alex Sipiagin (t), Patrick Cornelius (a-sax), Art Hirahara (p), Boris Kozlov (b), and Rudy Royston (d) are world class musicians composing and playing great music to make this a worthy commemoration! “Below The Line”, “Stepped Out”, and “Simmer” are also notable.
