O’s Notes: Pianist Aaron Parks has played with many notable jazz artists and now presents Invisible Cinema as a leader. There are ten beautiful new originals that are mostly mid-tempo. The band is a quartet with Mike Moreno (g), Matt Penman (b) and Eric Harland (d). The style is primarily fusion with clean instrumentation as on “Karma” where Aaron trades the spotlight with his fellow musicians. They all shine showing a mastery and command of their tools. Parks is in command throughout making this CD a piano lover’s delight.
