O’s Notes: This is a sampling of tunes from I’ll Remember Love – The Larry Gelb Songbook – Volume I. Larry wrote each of the five pop tunes. The message is heartland USA with patriotic songs like “The Blood of America” and “I Killed A Man I Didn’t Know”. A lot of the music sounded like a church choir. There is an element of sadness in “Some Other Christmas” and “Sail Away, My Heart” to the point that we wish Larry better days.
