O’s Notes: This is a classic DVD featuring the music, the people and story of Afro-Cuban jazz as defined by Chucho Valdes and Irakere. This band is felt to be amongst the best ever assembled. It is an interesting story about one of the most exciting and vibrant forms of jazz. The only downside is that while there are English subtitles, the story is told primarily in Spanish.
