O’s Notes: Sosa’s music is highly syncopated, eclectic and full of energy. Seeing Omar live is very engaging, something you should experience if at all possible. This session was recorded at Radio France in Paris. Sosa (keyboards, vocals) performs with Miguel Diaz (percussion), Steve Argüelles (d, electronics), Childo Tomas (b, vocals) and Luis Depestre (sax). This recording is typical of his concerts. It is very dynamic and moving, especially songs like “Dos Caminos” but also relaxing with “Iyawo”. Tune in for a different, enjoyable session.
