O’s Notes: Shoshana has a gentle voice with a distinct character. She works it best on “Blues For Mama” and “Old Devil Moon” to an appreciative audience at Hollywood’s Catalina Jazz Club in January 2013. Her band is a solid quartet featuring guitarist Larry Koonse and George Young on sax and flute. David Robaire (b), Isamu McGregor (p) and Gene Coye (d) provide the structure. You could be happy with the bands performance alone!
