O’s Notes: Slow the Band is a Polish jazz-fusion band centered around founders Tomasz Kaczmarczyk (g) and Krzysztof Werminski (p). The other members are Leszek Szczerba (s-sax), Tomasz Grabowy (b), Slawomir Brent (perc), and Lukasz Sobolak (d). Live In Dresden is a lively set with a lot of spirit. There is nice work by the entire band on “Jog”. We enjoyed the taste of Latin on “Early Siesta”, the mellow “Red Cloud”, “Iguana Party”, and “Yolanda”, a ballad featuring Szczerba.
