O’s Notes: Get ready to listen to funky guitars, popping brass and a steady beat. That beat comes from the legendary percussionist, Willie Bobo. The tempo varies but the groove is retro soul/instrumental jazz – a page out of the mid 1970s. This is a timeless groove, one that still resonates. It comes from tapes hidden away for years and previously unreleased. We get the pleasure of listening courtesy of Willie’s son, producer Eric Bobo. It is a great remembrance.
