O’s Notes: Guitarist Ulf Wakenius is a well-established musician who plays with confidence. He teams up with Lars Danielsson (b), Lars Jansson (p) and Morten Lund (d) to play a program of soft fusion. The music was composed all or in part by Esbjörn Svensson and arranged by Wakenius. Eric Wakenius (electric g) plays with dazzling brilliance on “Dodge The Dodo” and radio.string.quartet.vienna joins the act for “Tuesday Wonderland”, one of five contributions. “Good Morning Susie Soho” is a fine bluesy tune featuring Nils Landgren (tb). Our favorite was “Some Days Of Falling” featuring Ulf and Till Brönner on trumpet.
