O’s Notes: The trio is Danny Gottlieb (d, percussion), Richard Diexler (p, b) and leader, bassist Jeff Berlin. Jeff carries the melodies on his bass like it was a lead guitar on songs like “Brooklyn Uncompromised”. He can also play a more traditional bass line as on “A Mensch Among Unmentionables”.
