O’s Notes: This is a collaboration between the Yellowjackets bass player Jimmy Haslip and keyboardist/composer Hamilton Sterling. This soundtrack stands out first because of the exceptional audio quality in 24-bit DVD Audio. 5.1 surround sound and PCM high-resolution 2-channel stereo are other options. The DVD Video is just a static photo of the liner notes and credits. The music is the core and it is a splendid journey starting in Senegal and taking us to the outer limits! This is an album to test the limits of your Hi-Fi system and/or to close your eyes and explore. The sound is futuristic, galactic, jazz-fusion, a very different experience.
