O’s Notes: New York-based Canadian painter and jazz saxophonist is in his jazz zone for Mode For Noah. He leads a quartet with Brent Jarvis (Rhodes), Kosma Busheikin (b), and Graham Villette (d). They play seven of Becker’s originals opening with the swinging title track. “Open Road”, “Canal Zone”, and “August Moon” are other highlights. His art pieces are vibrant, colorful portraits, much like what we heard In his music!
