O’s Notes: The trio includes bassist Stephen Parish, Jr., baritone saxophonist Jimmy Farace and drummer Paul Barrilles. Each of the musicians exhibits prowess and they sizzle as a unit. Parish leads the way “When the TV’s On But No One’s Home” and commands the lead line on the title track, along with a rousing drum solo by Barrilles punctuating a balanced performance. In between we enjoy originals from Paul and Jimmy along with a cover of Monk’s “Pannonica”. Mosaic is an introduction to a fine trio with an abundance of potential.
