O’s Notes: Freddy is back with yet another good set of warm ballads. He glides through the music effortlessly with his throaty vocals. Bill Charlap (p) joins Freddy as a duo on two selections and provides accompaniment adding a strong solo on “My Ideal”. Peter Washington (b) and Kenny Washington (d) make up the rest of the band. Freddy’s gentle, almost spoken delivery makes for peaceful listening.
