O’s Notes: This is a celebratory album coming from guitarist Peter Leitch who found himself no longer able to play his instrument after surviving Stage IV cancer in 2012. He recreated his career to focus on arranging and conducting a large ensemble with the spirit of a jazz combo! New Life is an appreciable effort that includes a stellar cast, notably Duane Eubanks (t), Steve Wilson (a-sax, s-sax), Dave Pietro (a-sax, s-sax), Phil Robson (g) and Yoshi’s Waki (b). There are two lengthy sets spread over 2 discs. Leitch has found his way and is approaching new heights!
