O’s Notes: This is an interesting and unusual jazz-fusion set for prolific bassist Charnett Moffett, even including vocals on the last four tracks, notably “Rejoice” and the reggae-induced “Spirit & Bride Song”. Moffett is quite expressive on “Today” and “Higher Dimensions” with guitarist Jana Herzen. Corey Garcia handles most of the spirited drumming with Irwin Hall playing sax and flute on half of the dozen songs. Herzen also adds vocals on the last three songs.
