O’s Notes: This is a hot session of neobop/jazz fusion. The musicians drift in and out of chaotic moments with complimentary harmonies that keep the listener engaged. A fine example is the title track featuring Phil Grenadier on trumpet. Brooke anchors the charge with steady syncopated beats and crisp solos on drums. He wrote and arranged most of the music but there are a couple of covers as well, notably “Magnum P.I. Theme”.
