O’s Notes: Soprano saxophonist/flutist Jane Bunnett soars with inspirational vocalizations and scatting over a solid foundation by Maqueque, an all-female jazz ensemble featuring guitarist Donna Grantis, Zimbabwean vocalist Joanna Majoko, and violinist Daniela Olano. The rhythm section is vibrant with Danae Olano (p), Tailin Marrero (b), Yissy Garcia (d) and Mary Paz (perc). Bunnett shines throughout the set, notably on “Sierra”, “Daniela’s Theme” composed by Olano, and “Bolero A Un Sueño” written by Marrero.
