O’s Notes: Valerie has a youthful country-girl voice, plays guitar, ukulele and composed all or part of most of the music on Pushin’ Against A Stone. She sings eleven songs, each with a story, an ode of sorts. It is down home country blues done in traditional fashion. Our favorites are “You Can’t Be Told” and “Workin’ Woman Blues”.
