O’s Notes: Jazz pianist Deanna Witkowski dives into the work of Frédéric Chopin on Rain Drop, a solo piano effort. She improvises on his works and intersperses a half dozen of her own pieces into the session. It is relaxing and romantic suitable for many occasions as an unobtrusive set or for meditation. Witkowski doesn’t go overboard with her arrangements making this a pleasing set for both jazz and classical fans.
