O’s Notes: Zap Mama is a female a capella group featuring singer Maria Daulne. They sing on top of contemporary funky rhythms that can make you want to dance. The harmonies will sooth your soul especially on “Chill Out”. There is quite a bit of variety on ReCreation with the Salsa beats of “Hello To Mama”; Singing Sisters” that delivers some of Zap Mama’s a cappella sound of the early ’90s and the more contemporary groove of “Togetherness”. It may be too broad to keep all fans engaged but Daulne delivers a good package.
