Jazz Ruler Type: Ballads, Blues
O’s Notes: This is a political album focused on getting our troops back from Iraq. The protests are loud and clear expressed by Rob Brozman, Candye Kane, Roy Zimmerman and many others. Music always eases the tension and focuses on alternatives. In this case, overturning the Bush direction was the goal. So far it seems like many voters were on the same page. We liked the message but most of the music leaned a little too far to the country side for our tastes. The notable exceptions were Charlie Wood’s “You Don’t Really Want To Know” and the gospel laced “A Time For Peace” by Eddy Clearwater.
