O’s Notes: Bassist Stephan Crump wrote eleven songs that are performed in a trio with Liberty Ellman playing acoustic guitar and Jamie Fox on electric guitar. The Crump experience is peaceful, sometimes folksy on songs like “Rosie” and “Residual” but racy on “Our Survival” and “Atanarjuat” where the musicians seemingly play tag. The relaxed tunes lend themselves well for meditating if grouped together. Our favorite was “Kudzu” which had a sense of adventure.
