O’s Notes: Allyson takes a trip into the dark and melancholic land with a collection of pop and jazz standards. Her rich vocals are soft but powerful and they resonate across the lyrics. Sit back and enjoy the nuances on “Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most” to really appreciate Karrin’s talent! She shines on all eleven tracks supported by a fine band including guitarist Rod Fleeman, Randy Weinstein (harmonica), Bob Sheppard (flute, sax) and Ed Howard on bass. Ed anchors the title track in a duet with Allyson to close out a fine set.
