O’s Notes: Drummer, composer, and bandleader Sofia Goodman leads the charge on Secrets of the Shore. She wrote all or parts of the ten, warm, contemporary jazz selections. Alex Murphy (p), Rheal Janelle (g), Leland Nelson (b), Carlos Duran (perc) and Joel Frahm (t-sax) are the primary accompaniment. Highlights are the mellow “Buried Treasures”, the refreshing “Angel” and the funky “Skipping Stones featuring Nelson and Frahm.
