O’s Notes: Avi Granite plays guitar and leads his quartet through nine original compositions. The music is blues fusion highlighted by electric lead lines from Avi and trumpeter Ralph Alessi. “Wayne Winks at the Radio” is a prime example that also includes a tight drum solo by Owen Howard. Jerry Devore handles bass duty. We were impressed by Alessi’s contribution that smoothes the rough edges on “Barnacles”. He is very synergistic with Granite.
