O’s Notes: Melissa is a cabaret-style singer and Broadway actress with a wonderful voice. She sings in front of a large ensemble with strings and horns or in intimate conversations with pianist Teddy Firth as on “It Wasn’t Meant to Happen” and the entertaining stories like “Little Things You Do Together” and “Can That Boy Foxtrot”. Lewis Nash (d) and David Finck (b) round out the rhythm section in a refreshing session.
