O’s Notes: Guitarist Tom Gavornik is an enthusiast. He wrote all of the compositions for this effort representing variety of contemporary styles. It starts with a funky free fusion tune that evolves to more readily accessible blues and fusion tracks. Kirk Driscoll (d) and Steve Lucas (b) join him again for his seventh recording. You can appreciate their lineage as they are a tight group. Tom’s wife, Joanie recites poetic verses on some of the tunes as well, notably “Anger”. Soul Cry is a good effort.
