O’s Notes: Guitarist Royce Campbell teams up with bassist Bob Bowen and the late pianist Hod O’Brien to whom this recording is dedicated. This is a live set recorded at the Performing Arts Center in Luray, VA during April 2008. While this is Campbell’s CD, any of the trio could be deemed the leader. They work well together and share the spotlight. This is a confident crew that is deliberate and respectful delivering a solid swinging set to the delight of the audience.
