O’s Notes: Saxophonist Russ Nolan teams up with an energetic rhythm section for Tell Me, an album inspired by his love for salsa dancing. He is successful in harnessing the jovial Latin movements in a well-integrated set. They swing hard through four Nolan original compositions and five newly arranged standards. They are all vibrant pieces that are up close and personal. Producer Zach Brock adds violin on three selections notably “View From The Bridge” making this a super set start to finish.
