O’s Notes: Ten Shades of Light is of ‘best of’ collection from UK based guitarist Mark Wingfield. It is an excellent introduction to Mark, a prolific jazz-fusion and classical musician featured in a number of different settings. There is generous use of electronics sprinkled on a very creative palate. “Quadrants”, “Shuffah” and “That Time Again” are very different contemporary songs highlighting Wingfield’s versatility, improvisation and writing skills.
