O’s Notes: Sinai Dialog is an Indonesian band formed by keyboardist, composer and arranger Riza Arshad in 1993. The dialog is a fusion of Asia and Western jazz focused on engaging listeners and taking them to a higher level. The band is a traditional rhythm section with three percussionists who keep the beats fresh and funky. They effectively combine electronics and acoustic instrumentation to make good jazz-fusion. Highlights are “Common League”, “Stepping In” and “Lain Paratina”. It is a unique groove worthy of sampling.
