O’s Notes: Richard bows, plucks and walks his bass to perfection. He’s able to extract sweet melodies from the lower register. The program is rooted in the jazz classics but extends to include the Chicago blues piece, “C.C. Rider”. Together with pianist John Hicks, he provides wonderful entertainment.
