O’s Notes: Arthur Barron (fl, sax) and teams up with arranger Dave Liebman (sax) and producer/musical director Abel Pabon (keyboards) to make The Miami Jazz Project. They are joined by a strong band to play nine originals plus Coltrane’s “Dahomey Dance”. We enjoyed “Lordy Lourdes”, “Mr. Q”, “Sheer Joy” and “Tu Amor Neri” in a set with lots of variations on the contemporary jazz theme.
