O’s Notes: Myriad 3 is a Toronto-based trio featuring Chris Donnelly (p, synth), Dan Fortin (b, synth) and Ernesto Cervini (d, perc, winds). As on their debut Tell, all three musicians contribute compositions. They take a few more chances with The Where, mixing meters and experimenting with sounds and texture. The result is a rather eclectic mix that keeps the listener guessing at every turn. We liked the fluid spontaneity though the rapid transitions may be unsettling to some.
