O’s Notes: Think Like A Mountain consists of seven original compositions plus a cover of “What Is This Thing Called Love”. Andy Hunter plays trombone and leads a fine sextet. Dave Kikoski’s work on the Rhodes gives the music a retro 1970s feel. Alex Sipiagin (t), Boris Kozlov (b), Jason Marshall (sax) and Danny Fischer (d) round out the team. The warmth of Hunter’s trombone on “Deed By Delusion” is soothing alone and in harmony with accompanying brass. There is a calming feel that permeates the entire set all the way through the blues finale making this a delightfully relaxing encounter.
